The State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for privatization, demonopolization and development of competition  is a government body the main directions of which are further deepening of economic reforms, acceleration of denationalization and privatization processes, and provision of development and support of private entrepreneurship in the republic.

The State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for privatization, demonopolization and development of competition  in its activity is accountable to the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for privatization, demonopolization and development of competition is governed by the Constitution and laws of the Republic of Uzbekistan, decisions of Oliy Majlis, decrees and orders of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, resolutions of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Provision on the State Property Committee.

The State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for privatization, demonopolization and development of competition is carrying out its activity directly and through its regional authorities in cooperation with public bodies, citizen's self-government councils, NGOs and others.

Decisions of the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for privatization, demonopolization and development of competition made within the bounds of its authority are obligatory for fulfillment by ministries, departments, local executive authorities, economic entities, public officials and citizens.
