Socio-economic development of Uzbekistan of 2011
The Goskomstat of the Republic of Uzbekistan has summarized social and economic development of the country for 2011. In January-December 2011 the GDP of Uzbekistan increased by 8,3 % in comparison with the similar period of 2010.
The growth rates of other macroeconomic indicators have made: industrial output - 106,3%, agricultural output - 106,6%, investments in fixed capital - 107,9% (108,4 %), construction work - 108,5%, cargo transportation – 108,7%, passenger transportation – 105,9%, retail trade turnover – 116,4%, paid services – 116,1%. The volume of external trade turnover has increased by 115,0% of which export - by 115,4%, import - by 114,5%. The positive balance of external trade was USD 4,5 billion.
