Expanding Cooperation between Uzbekistan and Jordan in the Field of Geology

During meetings and negotiations with the leadership of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources of Jordan, the parties discussed joint projects, the effective organisation of geological exploration works, and future areas of cooperation.
In addition, with the Jordanian company NAMC, a “roadmap” and a memorandum of mutual cooperation were signed in the fields of copper, rare metals, and other industrial minerals.
As part of the visit, a working group consisting of specialists from JUMCO and “Navoiyuran” JSC visited prospective uranium sites for on-site study.
Following the visit, a joint working group was established with the participation of the ministries of both countries, as well as NAMC and JUMCO. Furthermore, preliminary geological data were obtained on promising deposits of uranium, critical and non-ferrous metals, and an agreement was reached on their further in-depth study.
