The Minister of Geology met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Uzbekistan

During the meeting, the parties discussed a wide range of issues related to the development and strengthening of bilateral cooperation in the field of energy, geology and subsoil use.

The necessity of exchanging geological information and data, organizing joint scientific research, as well as intensifying cooperation in the field of hydrogeological monitoring of the Pritashkent transboundary aquifer within the framework of the project "Management of Groundwater resources of Transboundary Horizons" (GGRETA) implemented by the UNESCO International hydrogeological program was emphasized.

Following the meeting, an agreement was reached on the elaboration of mutual visits of delegations of competent state bodies and research centers to develop concrete measures for the implementation of the initiatives under discussion.
